Jason Farrell

For over 25 years Jason Farrell has successfully fought for access to healthcare, prevention services and human rights for drug users, sex workers and people living with HIV, regardless of sexual orientation or gender. From 1993 – 2008 Jason Farrell was the founding director of the Positive Health Project (PHP), the first low-threshold, multi-service, harm reduction/HIV prevention and medical service program for drug users in the United States.
In 2009, Jason moved to the Netherlands and worked with Correlation European Harm Reduction Network (C-EHRN). Presently, Jason Farrell is a consultant with C-EHRN and the director of Stichting Choices Support Center (Choices) in Amsterdam. Choices provides multi-disciplinary low threshold services supporting individuals at risk for HIV, HCV and STIs due to substance use take the first steps towards creating a suitable prevention plan or finding appropriate treatment.
